On the road again. Mal wieder auf Reisen.

Hello again! Guess what? I've been traveling again. Hard to believe, eh? ;-) With a rental car from Bratislava I took off and drove throughout Germany and to Holland as well...it was a 4k drive-a-thon, but praise the Lord I was spared any accident.

First I took part in the bi-annual Congress of Christian Leaders. However, my expertise as an orator was currently not of use. Instead I was able to professionally assist people at the door by checking name tags, haha. Together with my brother Dave, Steffi (whom faithful bloggers will remember from previous pictures), Christina (Dave's girlfriend) and Meike (Dave's girlfriend's girl friend), we signed up as assistants for Idea, one of the main sponsors. Since we only had to work for five hours each day, we were able to visit some of the seminars, so for instance, I visited a speech given by a professional fundraiser. No-brainer! What new input did I receive? Well, for instance I learned that Americans like to hear success stories whereas Germans like to hear about the ups and downs of the presented project. Otherwise the Congress was an interesting place to check out different Christian organizations and hear famous speakers (Friedhelm Loh, anybody? How about a dose of Claus Hipp?)

The weekend after the Congress, I took part in a seminar of Sound7.De, which is a Christian online platform for music and culture. I do voluntary work for them, but it also combines well with my PR work for TWR. The topics were photography (with one of Germany's premier photographers...no, not Frank Stefani this time ;-) ) and interview techniques. I guess it would have been good to hear the suggestions for interview techniques BEFORE my telephone interview with Delirious a few days before, but it still went well :-) Very nice guy, that Martin Smith. FYI, the interview is currently posted (in German though) on www.sound7.de. Don't be confused if you see Judith Kuehl as author, but I haven't an official sound7 account yet. Besides, Judith also helped edit the interview.

During the days in between the seminars, I visited friends & supporters, as well as local partner organizations of TWR. So apart from distributing Carbon Monoxide (or was it dioxide? I keep forgetting) for two straight weeks with a rental car, I actually did a good amount of work. On this note, thanks so much to all my hosts and friends along the way, who organized my stays and all that stuff. It was a real blessing meeting/seeing you all.

More news in a few weeks with photos from five friends coming over in the tale of two cities. As for now, God bless and have a great week!

One last thing, I hope to see some of you when I'm in Garmisch from March 27th to 31st. See you then!

Hallo mal wieder!

Was habe ich neues dazugelernt?

No way you had an interview with Delirious?! With Martin Smith. I heard they're retired now.

It's interesting to see the difference between the way Americans and Germans think. I guess it makes sense.. since Americans are very goal-oriented.

Talk to you soon man.
